Marcelo Claure is an entrepreneur, investor and former CEO of SoftBank Group International who has founded, grown, and transformed some of the world’s most iconic businesses including Brightstar, Sprint, SoftBank Vision Fund, SoftBank Latin America Fund and WeWork.
Claure is a global entrepreneur and the Founder & CEO of Claure Group, a multi-billion-dollar global investment firm spanning multiple high growth sectors with investments including: T-Mobile, the world’s most valuable telecommunications company where he is the largest individual shareholder; SHEIN, the fastest growing on-demand fashion company globally, where he advises the CEO as Chairman of Latin America; TelevisaUnivision, the leading Spanish-language media and content company; and Nubank, the largest fintech bank in Latin America.
He is also the president of Club Bolívar, Bolivia’s largest professional soccer team. In partnership with City Football Group, he is also a co-owner of Girona FC in Spain.
Claure received a bachelor’s in economics and finance and an honorary Doctorate of Commercial Science from Bentley University. He also received an honorary Doctorate of Laws from Babson College.
