In 2018, a final cohort selected from 63 countries spanning Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and South Asia convened at the Dubai International Finance Centre. Led by Professors Khanna, Lakhani, Elkins, and Fabbe, students spent a week moving through a rigorous, multidisciplinary curriculum of case studies. Sessions ranged from a Venezuela-based study on fostering creativity in education to implementing machine learning strategies in business to a historical investigation of untold war crimes committed by British colonizers in Kenya.
The Crossroads Emerging Leaders Program was a very engaging and thought-provoking program. I had the chance to engage with Professors from Harvard and various industry experts such as Geoffrey White, the CEO of Agility. These interactions challenged me to see education as a tool that can create massive change, and they opened up new opportunities for me, including a summer internship with Agility Logistics Park in Ghana.
