The Aspire Leaders Program, now accepting applications for the first cohort of 2025, offers a unique opportunity for first-generation, low-income college students worldwide to join a global network of young leaders. With access to mentorship, world-class educators, a leadership course designed and delivered by Harvard University faculty, and professional development resources, participants gain the skills to create positive change in their communities and thrive in the next step of their academic or professional journey.
Are you a university student or recent graduate who is first-generation and low-income? We accept all qualified applicants who fit this description, so if you meet these requirements, we encourage you to apply and become part of the Aspire Leaders Program.
Here are five tips to help you navigate the application process smoothly:
1. Don’t Wait to Complete Our Short Application
The application will only take you 15-20 minutes and once you start, you can log back in and complete it anytime. Each cohort will have a specific application window so be sure to submit your application by the specific deadline for your desired cohort.. Apply early to secure your place!
2. Read Carefully
Our application, while brief, contains key questions to assess your eligibility and fit for the program. Each section is important and most questions have clarifying text below them. Review and complete every part thoroughly if you meet the eligibility criteria. No need to rush – the application doesn’t require any essays or long-form responses!
3. Answer Honestly
The questions are straightforward and designed to gain a true understanding of your background and goals. There are no trick questions—just honest inquiries about you. Answering truthfully will help us get to know you better and evaluate your fit for the program.
4. Ensure Each Required Section is Complete
Be sure to complete every question and check every box. Required questions have red asterisks and you won’t be able to click submit until all are answered. You can always navigate back to previous sections before final submission.
5. Verify Your Email and Check for Confirmation
You will need to verify the email you type in when you begin your application by clicking the link in your email. Although you may then continue with your application, you must click this link from the email message in order to successfully submit. After submitting, you’ll receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive this email, we have not successfully received your submitted application.
