Jin Tada (ALP ’26), Transforms Climate Data into Community Action Through the ‘Water Storytellers Collective’
Jin Tada (ALP '26) from Japan, is expanding access to environmental knowledge through the Water Storytellers Collective, an initiative that has grown from a grassroots civic technology project into an officially endorsed UN Ocean Decade Action Number 14.8. Combining artificial intelligence, environmental data, and community knowledge, the initiative has reached more than 2,500 young people across 45 vulnerable coastal and rural communities while creating more than 100 localized green jobs.

Faruk Emre Ballı, an ALP'25 graduate from Türkiye, measures success not only by how many children attend a Uçuş Saati (Flight Time) event, but by what they begin to imagine afterward. A child who has never considered becoming a pilot may leave believing that the dream is possible. Uçuş Saati is a volunteer-led educational initiative that introduces primary-school children—especially those with limited access—to aviation and STEM through flight simulators, virtual-reality experiences, and hands-on activities.
